Acceptance

When a plan for the future is in place,

When a plan for tomorrow exists, and for the next day and every day thereafter,

Everything is so rosy and the path is so easy to follow.

But what happens when a fall along the way,

Stops the path being in place any more.........

The nicely mapped out future stops, 

The nicely forecast ways become a dream and not reality,

The hopes and expectations set before, crumble into dust.

Until the changes caused by a fall become faced, 

Acceptance never fully becomes reality, 

And as Acceptance fails to take hold, 

A healing process cannot begin.

The cracks can be papered over,

The fear can be pushed away,

But the ache of despair never leaves, 

The blackness of the pit only deepens,

The only cure is Acceptance.

The key remains Acceptance.............
